In this show we ramble about a bunch of stuff. We are still stuck on Mura and talk about it for a little while. We also discuss MAX2009 a couple other topics

Oct 3, 2009 at 3:44 AM You could redo your site in a few days using Mura believe me, and you will not have to touch code, just some CSS and styling!
RSS: Add your RSS feed as remote feed in Mura, create a portal or even a page and go to objects tag, add the RRS feed to any content area you have created and display however you want. You can create local content indexes also and add them however and wherever you want. Or do it the other way around, create a page within a portal which in turn creates the RSS feeds – which Mura can do!
theme: create what theme you want and in Mura on advanced tab select which theme you want to use for that page. To save repeating this task use start new cascade so all pages under that one inherit the same theme or objects.
Blog: Mura has a number of pre-built components that allow you to accept comments, accept reviews and much more. And if you’re not happy create your own components and make it available in components within Mura and use it anywhere you need it! and now with plugin this gets even more interesting.
Portal: portals are just a collection of pages. A portal can be a feed, pages, files, a collection of anything you want managed with the CMS or even remotely via RSS.
URL’s: make them more friendly, simple: http://www.newebia.co.uk/blog/index.cfm/2009/2/15/Sava-Creating-Nice-Friendly-URLs
just a start but take it from someone who has now built around 10 sites+ in Mura is has made my life sooooooooo simple!

Oct 14, 2009 at 10:49 AM This is a lie..... I've had issues with it. It takes forever to get up and running.... don't touch it until they come out with more examples, videos, tutorials, etc.
Oct 15, 2009 at 10:47 AM I have to back up Gyn here, Cesar. Just because you've been having problems with Mura doesn't make him a liar. Like Glyn, I find it dead easy to get Mura up and running. If you're having problems I suggest you post on the Mura forums and someone will likely help you out.
Oct 17, 2009 at 11:30 AM @Cesar Diaz, I dont want to spam on the comments here, but if you are having issues setting up Mura you can head over to the Mura forums everyone is really happy to help.
Post your issue and I will have a look and help if I can.
I agree we need more documentation but for most of the stuff its really intuitive.
Setup really does take minutes I can assure you! The only issue I know about can be in a shared environment with the wizard, but a manual setup is easy too.
